Cyber Bullying : Health Promotion Video
Cyber bullying is a growing epidemic that is predominantly seen among teenagers. In fact, it is the third leading cause of death among adolescents following accidents and homicides (Ercu 2013). Social media such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and etc. have become a primary outlet by which cyber bullying can be carried out. Texting, sending pictures, messages and/or emails with the intentions of hurting someone would be considered cyber bullying. The consequences often lead to depression, stress, anxiety, poor health, low self- esteem and even suicide (Cyber bullying statistics, 2010). Thus, raising awareness on cyber bullying and its consequences would essentially be a stepping stone towards decreasing the rate and occurrences of such immoral and insolent behaviour.
